Lessons
Lessons are offered five days each week and focus on the rider learning to work with the horse and improve communication. For beginners, Erin has two lesson horses for students to learn on. We spend the first lesson understanding the routine, how to catch and tie, brush and saddle, and the general safety that goes with. Once saddled, we learn the basics of mounting, sitting and balancing in the saddle, turning and stopping. When done riding, students will unsaddle and put their horses away. Personal responsibility and safety are a priority. As students advance, so do the technical elements of riding. Whether you want to show, trail ride or barrel race, you still need to understand effective use of aids, general safety, and how to communicate with your horse.
